Steven J. Fleck, Ph.D., is executive director of the Andrew Research & Education Foundation in Florida. He graduated with honors from Ohio State University with a doctoral degree in sports biology. Dr. Fleck's research interests include physiological adaptations to resistance training, effects of physical conditioning in disease states, cardiovascular adaptations to resistance training, and optimal design of training programs for physical performance. He joined the American College of Sports Medicine in 1977 and has published 23 books and 14 book chapters so far.
