Xiaolin Yang is a researcher of LIKES Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health and a visiting professor of Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Jyvaskyla. He also is the senior consultant of the Finland Sports Sciences Society and member of European College of Sport Science. He has been engaged on the associations between physical activity, sedentary time and public health throughout the life-course for more than 20 years. Xiaolin Yang has published more than 100 SCI papers and book chapters. He hosted and participated in a number of Finland national research projects, including the Cardiovascular Risk in Young Finns Study (Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture), the Future of Work and Well-Being (Finnish Academy of Sciences) and the Determinants of Physical Activity and Sedentary Behavior at Different Phases of Life – Identifying Barriers to Physically Active Lifestyles (Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture).
