Siwang Yu, Ph. D., is an associate professor, principle investigator and deputy director at Peking University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Yu is involved in the editorial board of “Current Pharmacology Reports” and “Journal of Chinese Pharmaceutical Sciences”, and member of Tumor Prevention and Control committee, Chinese Association of Preventive Medicine. The research interests of Dr. Yu focus on: (1) the roles of stress responsive transcription factors such as Nrf1/2/3 in cancer initiation, progression, metastasis, drug resistance and toxicities of chemotherapies; (2) utilization of synthetic or natural chemicals as chemopreventive agents or drugs against cancers and related diseases; specifically, dietary phytochemicals and traditional Chinese medicine components are extensively investigated.
